What a Time for Barbecue
Just like that Southern Charred is already a monumental success. Last night at 5 p.m. was the opening night for our friends and family to try our newest addition, Southern Charred. The restaurant was packed with familiar faces, all eager to try our signature pulled pork and brisket sandwich. We had people lining up outside to get in on the action. We could not have been happier with the turn out.
Tonight we are expecting an even larger crowd since we will be opened to the public at 5 p.m. for dinner. Tomorrow we will be opening for lunch at 11 a.m. and will stay opened until 2 a.m. with live music and another fabulous night.
Last night we had a buffet style meal, and people could not rave more about the sliced brisket, hushpuppies, biscuits and macaroni and cheese. Southern Charred is in a prime location and we will be taking reservations, which for many is a huge plus. People all over Raleigh have been talking about how imperative it would be to have a good barbecue joint on Glenwood South, and their talk has finally become a reality.
Can you really go wrong with booze and barbecue though? Everybody waited patiently in line to get in on the happenings. Everything about opening night was an immense accomplishment for Bunch of Fives, and we can't be more thrilled to see what the future holds. So come out and challenge us to a game of foosball, loser buys a round of Front Porch Tea. See you here. Check out our website www.southerncharred.com for more information.
